Program
A three-day trip through the vineyards, wineries and history of the 3 big red wines of Tuscany: Chianti, Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino.

1st day – The route begins in Monteriggioni, an old fortress built by people from Siena to guard the boundary with Florentine state. A place where is still possible to find a medieval atmosphere.
From Monteriggioni, after a stop in Castellina in Chianti, where you should stop for lunch, the tour continues through the heart of the production area of Chianti Classico Gallo Nero, towards Brolio’s Castle, the cradle of Chianti  Classico. A guided tour of this castle will allow you to know the enchanting past of the family that helped to write the history of Chianti area. Ricasoli is one of the oldest companies in the world, among the first Italian wine makers, and has been owned by the same family for 32 generations.

After the visit of Brolio’s Castle, which dates back to the 11th century and has been property of Ricasoli’s family since 1141 transfer to Crete Senesi area. Hotel accomodation,  free time for relax or to use the hotel facilities (swimming pool and spa) dinner in a restaurant near the hotel and overnight.

2nd day  - Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting point with your guide at Piazza Grande, Montepulciano, where we will begin a journey to discover the city of Vino Nobile, through its Renaissance buildings and its historic cellars. Standing wine-tasting of the wine that the noble poet Francesco Redi defined: “the king of all wines”. Later in the morning we will continue the visit of Pienza, the ideal Renaissance town, birthplace of Pope Pius II and home of the famous pecorino cheese.  Free lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Montalcino (24km), the town  of Brunello wine, where we will visit the cellars of a company and where we will do a tasting of at least 3 wines including Brunello. Free time in Montalcino. Return to the hotel. Free time for relax or to use the hotel facilities (swimming pool and spa). Dinner and overnight.
3rd day - Breakfast at hotel. Enter at the swimming pool of Terme Antica Querciolaia in Rapolano Terme (valid for all day) included in the price. End of our services.
